We source all of Organic Teas from The Metropolitan Tea Company in Toronto Canada and they are proud to have the following Organic program in place:

COR ORGANIC — CERTIFIED IN GOOD STANDING SINCE 2011

Metropolitan's  COR program follows Canadian Food Inspection Agency guidelines for the safe production of organic products.

It integrates principles of FSSC 22000, GMP, C-TPAT, COR and the European Organic program to ensure consistent, organic products.

COR Guidelines Prohibit:

• The use of pesticides / petroleum-based fertilizers / sewage-sludge-based fertilizers
• Mixing organic and non-organic tea and herb products
• Organic products from coming into contact with prohibited substances

Annual audits ensure all processes are in order and documentation is up-to-date.

Metropolitan Tea is a CFIA, COR Certified Organic Food Handler. (Certificate #150-2008)
