CO2 Decaffeinated

All of our decaffeinated loose teas use the natural CO2 - Carbon Dioxide method of decaffeination. This process is considered to be the safest and the most preserving of the tea's delicate flavours. During decaffeination, pressurized liquid carbon dioxide is used to attract the small caffeine molecules out of the tea leaves and leaves the larger molecules behind which are responsible for the tea's flavour.
