The Reaper is made with Smokin Ed's Carolina Reaper Pepper. It was officially crowned the world's hottest pepper by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2013 delivering a blistering 1,463,700 SHU and still holds the record today. There is actually word of yet a hotter chili pepper on the horizon. For now Smokin Ed Currie of South Carolina is the record holder. Also, don't over-look the offerings by Mad Dog.
